of the clock cases are not difficult to build. You save a bundle of
money making your own
clock and it is very rewarding to say you have made it yourself. Some of the

You can build a clock case using our plans shown above
or build a clock
of your own design. You will need a clock dial and a clock movement
to complete the clock. You may also want to use hardware such as

Hinged bezel dials made in Germany feature
an elegant metal backplate dial attached to a hinged convex glass cover which is

Forstner Bit for Slab Clocks
If you build slab clocks, where you simply mount the above clock
movement onto the back of
a thick piece of lumber or a slab of log and want to counterbore the movement so
it is flush
or inset into the lumber use a forstner bit to make a flat bottom, clean edge
hole.
These forstner bits must be used in a drill press.
